.wbmp (wireless bitmap) format is used to code images for wireless display.
There are programs such as Applepie Solutions' Image Converter that can convert .bmp, .gif, and .jpg files into .wbmp format.
Many browsers impose an upper size limit on the image (for example, 44 pixels high by 96 pixels wide).
Images can be used as hyperlinks and appear in tables.
This is a self-closing tag.
Note that
.wbmp is the only image type that can be displayed in a WAP browser (However, the TagTag microbrowser only accepts .bmp files due to emulation.), and
cgi-bin.
