SPEC Power Benchmark
The SPECpower reports power consumption of servers at different workload levels, divided into 10% increments, over a period of time.
The table shows the SPECpower_ssj2008 running on a dual socket 2.2 GHz Intel Xeon Platinum 8276L with 192 GiB of DRAM and one 80 GB SSD disk.

Once again, to simplify the marketing of computer, SPEC boils these numbers down to a single number, called “overall ssj_ops per watt.”
The formula for this single summarizing metric is
overall ssj_ops per watt
= ( Σ ssj_opsi ) / ( Σ poweri ), where i = 0 .. 10
where
ssj_opsi
is performance at each 10% increment, and
poweri
is power consumed at each performance level.
For the above table,
overall ssj_ops per watt
= ( Σ ssj_opsi ) / ( Σ poweri ), where i = 0 .. 10
= ( 4864136+4389196+3905724+3418737+2925811+
2439017+1951394+1461411+974045+485973+0 ) /
( 347+312+278+241+212+183+160+141+128+115+48 )
= 26815444 / 2165 = 12,385
He got home from the party all in one piece.
