Reading a Stream of Fields (Cont.)

Few comments about the previous program:

istream& get (char* s, streamsize n );
It extracts characters from the stream and stores them into successive locations in the array pointed by s. Characters are extracted until (n–1) characters have been extracted. An ending null character is automatically appended at the end of the content stored in s.

char* strrchr( const char * string, int c );
Returns the last occurrence of c in string.

istream& ignore ( streamsize n = 1, int delim = EOF );
It extracts characters from input stream and discards them.

streampos tellg ( );
It returns the position of the get pointer.

int strcmp( const char * string1, const char * string2 );
Compares string1 to string2 character by character. It returns
- < 0 if string1 is less than string2,
- 0 if string1 is the same as string2, or
- > 0 if string1 is greater than string2

char * strncpy( char * destination, const char * source, size_t num );
Copies the first num characters of source to destination. If the end of the source is found before num characters have been copied, destination is padded with zeros until num characters have been written to it.

The open mode of the last file open has to be
```
    fstream::in | fstream::out
```
though only output commands are used afterwards.
