| In December 1947, Eckert and Mauchly formed Eckert-Mauchly Computer Corporation. Because of financial difficulties, the company was acquired by Remington-Rand, now Unisys. At Remington-Rand, they built UNIVAC I (Universal Automatic Computer), a general-purpose computer. |
